Don’t you love the dramatic view of the hills? I love how this mound was created and that it prompted all the children to run up it and do this thing—some pretending to be Superman and singing, and some just running up and down the mound. ⁠

Personally, my husband and I loved the view and secretly hoped one day we’d be lucky enough to be nestled in a wee house in the hills somewhere! I’m not giving up on that dream, and neither should you.⁠

Nature inspires so many of us in different ways. It can give you a new perspective on life when you’re having a bad day, and in particular, this mound brought out the inner child in all of us 💚

Take the birch tree for example. The bark is all white and peels off in delicate layers, adding a fancy touch to your garden. When the wind blows, the branches move around and make a calming rustling sound that reminds you of being in nature. ⁠

The tree comes alive in spring with delicate green leaves that dance in the sunlight. In autumn, it undergoes a stunning transformation, painting the garden with hues of golden yellow. ⁠

But it’s not just about looks. It’s a canvas of other materialistic and practical benefits. It provides shade, a place for birds and other animals to hang out, insects to thrive on, and even some protection against the elements. ⁠

Get rid of plain black pots from your garden and bring in bright, colourful, patterned pots. This beautiful ‘honey’ pot plant certainly stands out in this garden.⁠ ⁠

Here are two inspiring ideas on how to use pot plants as pieces of art in your garden:⁠

💚Create a Vertical Garden using unique and colourful pieces: Utilise walls, fences, or trellises to plant up and at different heights. Mix in various plant types, including trailing vines, colourful flowers, and lush foliage. ⁠
⁠
💚Design a Pot Plant Gallery: Again, as above, curate a selection of pots you love and arrange them artistically in a designated area of your garden. It doesn’t have to be along “usual” spaces like corners or pathways. Why not celebrate it and put it as a special sculptural element in the middle of your courtyard grassed area?⁠
